[Fee-ka & Fest]
My love of cooking started back in 2004 when I moved to Hong Kong. I remember walking around the local markets not knowing what half the different vegetables and condiments were. I was intrigued to try these new things and quickly bought some asian cookbooks and got cooking. Asian food is still my daughter's all-time favorite food!
During our years in Germany, I was quickly introduced to Vesper [Fesh-bar] the German version of a dinner charcuterie board with fresh bread, cheeses, charcuteries, and veggies. I was hooked and we still have Vesper at least once a week as a family!
The idea to start Fika & Fest came after a trip to Miami where my husband and I went to a "Build your own charcuterie board" outdoor restaurant.
I'm a big believer that you eat with your eyes first. The idea of providing the Chicago North Shore with beautiful looking, high quality, carefully curated, cheese and charcuteries was born!

I'm your Swedish next door neighbor! What was supposed to be 2 years in Winnetka, has turned into 14 years where I have enjoyed being a part of an incredible community whilst raising my two kids, Oscar and Liv.
I have a small obsession with the mountains and I'm always up for a good hike or skiing down the slopes!
Traveling, meeting new people and trying different foods has always been a passion and having lived and worked in both Hong Kong, Germany, UK and Sweden has not only added to the wanderlust, but the conviction that the greatest conversations and connections are had when food is involved!
When I'm not in the kitchen or hosting, you'll find me out adventuring with my husband, Sebastian and chocolate lab, Bjorn.
